Has anyone witnessed rut activity in the Virginia? I talked to hunters who have been hunting since Monday and they haven' t seen any signs, maybe 1 rub and scrape on the entire mountain. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Did the winter hit the deer heard hard last year? Hopefully things pick up within the next couple of days for rifle season.

I am just seeing signs of seeking. The bucks are looking but the does are not in yet. The chasing has not begun in Bedford Cty as far as I can see. Should be any day. Hopefully
