I will say this. Good thing you don' t belong to my hunting club or we probably would tar and feather you. I have never ever heard of intentionally hunting fawns. Why would you do this? What is the challange? There is not enough meat (a fawn this time of year goes 50lbs to 75lbs).
I shot a button buck last year (on the run), by accident, and had to pay $100 to the club and I am still getting grilled about it from the guys. If you hunt for meat, shoot a large doe.
