Default RE: TX Hunters: Who Scored and Where and Rut Activity?

I missed Saturday and Sunday because of family obligations but got out at odark thirty monday. I get to my spot and get out of the truck and begin to change into my hunting clothes and what do I hear? DAMN COYOTES!! A few hundred yards away (by my best estimate) just yawin' their freakin' heads off. Didn' t see a deer all morning. I would have been happy not to see a deer if I could have seen those coyotes. And of course I left my distress calls and coyote howler at home. I knew my day was blown and would have loved to have blown theirs. Oh well so goes our lives. I' ll be back out next week try again. Coyote calls go with me next time.
