I have had an off season. I didn’t get to hunt that much in the earlier part as I can now. Here in Tennessee we have about 3 weeks left. I hunt only public land and the pressure has been a lot this season. What are some tips that you may have beyond thickets and food sources?

In my experience, deer habits and movement gets very predictable during late season. If they come by you at 3:00, they'll be by you at the same time the next day and the day after that. But they'll also travel farther distances to get food. If you have a good trail coming into a field, they may be coming from 3 miles away, and not getting to that position until well after dark...day after day.

It is gun season......no snow.
Here is one area I hunt. The red is the property line. The outlying red with fill in is flooded for ducks. The yellow circles are evening stands. The yellow (X) is morning stands. The yellow with fill in is bedding areas? The fields to the far south is farmed corn. The smaller fields are hay.
Hopefully this gives a snap shot.
