Some people seem to think he has some broken bone in his face....I personally think he is just swollen around his eye making his face look sunk in where its not swollen. Fixing to cape him right now and find out.

Ocular Orb may have gotten fractured. Probably why his eye was bugged out.

Like the old saying, ever pass on a deer the first day that you'll shoot on the last day.

One thing I do know rock. Your local corn crop will not be hurting by taking him out of the mix. He doesn't look like he missed too many meals.

Yeah he is a pretty good size deer for it being after the rut.

His antlers are below average for his size and age.

I'm happy with him...Ive got a few monsters on the farm I was waiting for but I'm happy with this one.

I'd say you made a good choice taking him out if he's the age you think he is because he should have a lot bigger rack for where you are and how big the bucks grow there.

That's the kind of deer, that the minute you see him you say; "shooter buck".

Congrats Rock !!!
I hear ya. Ive had him in the crosshairs a few times but there are a couple bucks on that farm I really wanted and wasn't going to give up on until the rut was over.

This is what I was after

I do still have a ML tag so I do still have a chance.

Good deer, Rockport. You did an act of mercy when you killed that deer.
