OK, here is one for everyone. Big bucks get smart and they become nocturnal when they get too much pressure. They get shot at once, notice Mr. Hunter in orange one to many times in a tree, and they are off to talk to the bats. I' ll admit, the notion is kinda romantic...to try to get that monster buck that only comes out at night.
Here is the question, does are deer too. Does get shot at and chased as much if not more than the bucks. (Remember that buck that went nocturnal after being shot at - I' ll bet he was with three does when he was shot at. Did the does know the hunter was shooting at Rudolph?) Why don' t they get nocturnal?
This is something I' ve always wondered, why only bucks get this way. I don' t really believe that there is such a thing. Biologically, it just doesn' t make sense.

Its probably because Men are smarter in all species. JK...but I would guess that some of them do turn nocturnal and there are so many does that you don' t notice. Also maybe there fawns don' t want to be nocturnal so they stay with them.
