I can't believe the guy took a 45 yard shot at that buck laying down and at what looked like a bad quartering angle, but I guess with the snow on the ground it would have made for an easy tracking job even if it hadn't died within sight. What did he hit that far back to kill the buck that quick?

I agree with Top, the deer was not in a good position for a shot and the arrow didn't penetrate very far. He was lucky.

Apparently he made a good shot as the deer expired quickly. Cool seeing the antlers fall off. I probably would have waited for him to stand as well.

Pentetrated to the other side of the deer and it was sticking out...how much farther ya want it to go?

Deer is dead, and pretty quick too so obviously it wasn't a bad shot.

What I can't figure out is that the deer was shot through the left side and the mechanical head was sticking out the far right side as it jumped up and headed up the hill. When the guy gets up to it the fletching is on the right side of the deer when he pulls it up and out of the buck by that fletching. What am I missing here?

Are you sure that the deer was hit from the left? Otherwise, it was a good shot!

Default Bad shot?

How on earth is that a "bad shot"?? The big guy was down within 50 yds, please explain how this is bad?
