I have heard that deer are attracted to the sounds of chainsaws because it means reachable browse is coming.

We have put trail cams over gut piles and we get coyotes and bears at night. The next morning, ravens move in.

I've seen pictures where deer came in and were eating off one end of a downed cedar tree during the winter while the guy was still working on the other end of it!
