Didn't I say that? Did you Miss the part that as long as it is legal, go ahead? Not my cup of tea but that doesn't mean I'd stop someone else from doing it. But remember, the OP posted a video and it isn't reasonable for everyone to be favorable about what it shows.

If he wants to bait in deer next to a fence and shoot them from a box, more power to him. I'll pass. I'd rather eat tag soup than hunt that way, but if it is legal, which it is in TX, have at it. But I have hunted TX and I got my deer without hunting in this manner.

Different folks have different opinions and different ways. It is what it is.

Heh. Was just talking to a buddy about hunting and came to the inverse conclusion (just because it's not legal doesn't mean it's unethical), for the same reason as you give.

Well this has certainly been some fun. Can't we all just get along. I appreciate those who understand rather than not understanding and slamming it. Just like I tell my kids "if you know nothing about it, how do you know you don't like it"
To the hater: I am blessed to have a piece of property I can basically call my own, its 175 acres. I can hunt here all season everyday if I wanted. I'm pretty sure its a ton smaller than you are used to hunting. If I were to chase deer around I would chase them right off the property into another for somebody else so we use any legal tactic to keep deer around.....like feeders and planting oats, which is what is on the other side of the fence you see.
Like I said before, I have hunted spot and stalk, and by foot, even with a bow. I've taken many animals in Africa spot and stalk with bow. I just do what I can when I can.

At the end of the day, I'm going to hunt my way and you're going to hunt yours. Nobody is doing anything illegal, we are simply using every available tactic and resource as smart hunters would.

I think a lot of it is just that commercialization expands the amount/type of people that "hunt" the cultures that hunted before it was cool still have plenty of skill. They may be selling that skill to the highest bidder now days but skill is not gone.

Exposure to people that wouldn't otherwise be exposed to hunting.

ditto.. I know several folks who just can't hunt all that much due to work schedules or whatever, these guys will often book a one week hunt with an outfitter and that is the only time they get to hunt all season..

right, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as they know the difference.

Congrats on the buck! I say to each his own. Thats not necessarily my style of hunting but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. What bothers me is the "holy than thou" attitude I see throughout this thread. My overall goal when I hunt is to enjoy myself and put meat in the freezer. Don't get me wrong, I like tagging a decent trophy as much as anyone but all of my animals are personal trophies as I'm sure all the animals you guys kill are special to each of you also. People shouldn't be so quick to trash others. Congrats again

Just out of curiosity if you have 2 people and a camera why did you film everything besides the buck and the kill?

It has a very reality tv recreation feel to it.
