Obviously the hunter would like to take a game animal but commercialization is creating a kill at all cost mentality. Buying a kill is not hunting in any sense of the word. Skill is becoming far removed from hunting in this day and age.
I think a lot of it is just that commercialization expands the amount/type of people that "hunt" the cultures that hunted before it was cool still have plenty of skill. They may be selling that skill to the highest bidder now days but skill is not gone.
Exposure to people that wouldn't otherwise be exposed to hunting.
