Scent wafers or film canisters, which do you use?
I am looking for those of you who use deer scent, do you like the scent wafers or using cotton in film canisters, or wick canisters and why? How many of you don' t use any scent and why? Let me know your thoughts on this. These remarks are being used for a book and outdoor show, thanks for your help..

I really like using film canisters with cotton balls in them because you simply open the cap and set the canister somewhere where deer can get a good whiff. I like to poke a hole in the cap and put a piece of string through it so I can hang it from a branch or limb. And then you can cap them off when you' re done. Makes the scent last longer so you can get more mileage from your expensive bottles of scent.

I use film canisters also. I duct tape a piece of clothes hanger wire to the canister so it can be hung on a tree limb. Works really good and like KitsapCaller said, a $8.00 bottle of estrus urine lasts through the entire rut.

I use unscented tampons (yep you heard right, the wife is down a box come hunting season).
Why do I use them:
1) They expand when wet and allow max. air flow which I believe better displaces the scent than other methods
2) They are cheap and easily available(since I am married and have 2 girls)
3) They come with a built in hanger system, that is the best on the market
4) Small and light
