No worries, my bubble can't be bursted in regards to this topic. I just choose to believe differently.

The overwhelming vast majority of believers are the uneducated. A lesser number are indoctrinated at a young age and the last group just pretend to believe because it fits their agenda.

I always find it comical when you see a church filled with black folks praising the lord and devoting themselves to the bible...
The fact is, most of them have not even read the bible, for if they did, they might get a bit upset to find out that the bible says slavery is a divine institution and that slaves are simply property to be bought and sold.

And one more thing...
THIS WHOLE THREAD SHOULD BE DELETED because anyone who joins a forum and immediately starts a thread that says "GOD IS GREAT" isn't interested in hunting.

Just curious, but what exactly brings you to that conclusion? You must feel pretty strongly about that statement for one reason or another, or you would not have posted it. I don't feel I have to post it, but I consider God to be amazing as well, and happen to be very interested in hunting. :confused0024:

God is amazing! Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't burst the bubble of anyone who knows Him! I hope one day you can come to know Him too! For one day, every knee shall bow and acknowledge Him! Here's a hint: You won't find him in a science book or a lab! But you can see His work in that video and all around!

The Flying Spaghetti Monster IS amazing! I have been truly touched by his noodly appendage and I see his work everywhere! He boiled for my sins, and for that I am thankful. Fortunately no one can EVER prove he doesn't exist - and that gives me faith. Hopefully someday you all will also be touched by his noodly appendage - then you will know his grace and wisdom. I agree.. Lack of education and indoctrination are tough to crack once they've been instilled into the target subject. This is why they start young with catechism and/or solicit the poor.

I would not want to "know" anyone who would let a young child burn to death when they have the power to prevent it. I would not want to "know" anyone who has been responsible for more human death and suffering than ANY AND ALL other causes combined.
I actually find it disturbing that others condone this behavior by joining such organizations that support it.

Actually, yes.. I was a planned child not some irresponsible accident that my parents had to "put up with". And like my parents, I waited to have a child until such time as I was financially stable enough and emotionally mature enough to provide the proper nurturing and care. Unlike the vast majority of unplanned children who's parents did not take such precautions and end up producing more uneducated welfare recipients.

Why limit it to just two groups?

Thank you Sir. I did not expect such a response. I am new to this forum and don't really know where everybody here stands. I'm not here to argue about wether or not God exists. I do know that I love The Lord and I love the great outdoors. NOBODY on a forum is going to change those two things.

Its not a pleasant experience when someone starts throwing around statements or making accusations that have no merit or relevance to a debate is it?

Debates about religion and politics are always lively. The trick to learning from them and participating in them is to keep it free of insults and personal attacks. You may attack my position and my opinion,(and I welcome it), but not my person.

Where did you get the idea that this thread was hijacked? The original poster said GOD IS AMAZING.. the subject matter is god and has not changed.

Some guys get religion while sitting in a foxhole on a battlefield, that is about to turn into a gory battle.

The great outdoors is my church...and I tend to thank god for my big game harvest; after a productive hunt.

The only time I might have a chance with meeting up with my God/Gods...is me being in the great outdoors --- searching the skies for the Holy Grail --- which is a flying saucer/fiery balled foofighter, which is one of God's gift to mankind; in letting me know that my God does exist.

I suppose I should have said "Evolutionists, or Christian's" which would have expanded the groups a bit. That does seem to be who this debate is between... My point was that your quote applies to you as much as it does me, or anyone else.

I almost died once.. I had a plugged artery (left anterior descending) and it caused me to have a heart attack just after loading some heavy boxes into my truck.
I was driving when it happened and had to pull over and call an ambulance.

I remember loosing all strength and control in my muscles and my vision slowly degrading into a narrow tunnel with my peripheral vision going completely black.. Sound and noise faded off as I lost my hearing and light became dark.

I thought for sure "this was it" and I was going to die at an early age..
Interestingly, my thoughts were of my wife and all the good times we had together hunting, traveling, and doing what we wanted. I experienced no fear and the only major regret was not having a child at the time. (fixed that one! LOL)..

So I believe that those who "find religion" at a moment when they think they are going to die are exhibiting a last ditch desperate grasp to find a way of dealing with their situation. I personally believe this behavior to be a weakness in the area of self awareness and awareness of ones own environment. Praying to god to help when you are scared and/or hugging a teddy bear are the same behaviors. It means your brain can't, or doesn't want to deal with the current situation and is seeking a way to cope.

Sometimes it comes up and it's good to witness for the lord wherever the opportunity presents itself...IMO.

God is amazing! Great Video. I was talking to a hunting buddy today about a story on Falcons. It showed how they traveled back and forth to the same exact spot from Conn. to the Midwest.

God is amazing. I'm just amazed how birds have a flying GPS and can land in the exact spot each year 1000 miles apart. That's awesome!

Its not any different than how a small aircraft pilot navigates.. They literally follow landmarks like rivers and roads.

No "built in GPS" magical anything.

Can Navigate like a "Human" Pilot with a 4 year college Degree from a University, on how to fly a plane.
