Placing Stands
#1
In the past I ahve had some trouble in finding just the right place to set my stand. Does anyone have any useful websites, or information from your past experiances that will help me out when scouting my the " perfect" spot? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks again in advance

Hunt the Does the Bucks will show up. [Quote] " If football is a game of inches, then bowhunting is a game of fractions of an inch." Sorry I disagree its not a game its a way of Life

Find as many good spots as you can, and set them up. The worst thing you can do is rely on one spot.
If you only have one stand than set everything else up - trim trees, cut lanes. make routes in and out, etc. Get them ready so all you have to do is quickly move the stand.
Hunt as close to the beds as you can ( I prefer to be inside of them).

Look for the does and watch the wind! Unless you are bow hunting, try no to get too close, try not to set up right in their line of sight. You will have a better chance if you are not right on top of them. Good luck!

It is almost nearly impossible to pick the perfect spot the first time you put the stand up....lots of times you will observe things from your not so perfect stand sight that you never could have learned using conventional scouting. Keep a journal or logbook of some kind and eventually you should be able to find a pattern that will help you move your stand into a better(not perfect) spot.
