Another Story
Some ppl metioned me to keep the stories coming so here is another one.
Before I killed my first 2 bucks (See the link that says " New one here" ) I was sitting in my stand during bow season. I had never been bow hunting before so I didn' t really know what to expect. Well after weeks of moving my stand around to get close to this buck I could have killed with a rifle the first time I saw him. He was only 50 yards away and I really don' t think you can shoot a bow more than 30 yards. Well I finally got in the right spot and out of the blue I look over to my right through a hole in some leaves and see the biggest 8pt I have ever seen. He looked like one of those bucks you see on the Monster Bucks Videos. Well I went ahead and TRIED draw. I have never had trouble pulling the arrow back but I was shaking, nervous and didn' t want to make a sound he was only about 10 yards infront of me by the time he had walked around me. I was so nervous I was sweating. So after about 3 tries I finally got it pulled back and I was bumbed out cause I had just realized that I didn' t have a sight for 10 yards, just 15, 20 and 30. Keep in mind I have no bow hunting experince. Well I sit there with my bow drawn for a good 10 mins or so it seemed. If a branch wasn' t in the way of my shot then he would be turned with his rear facing me. So I gave out a quick brief whislte and he stopped and turned to a PERFECT postition. I shot and immediatly preceaded to through my bow out of my stand but I stopped myself. I shot over him and never seen him again.
. But as strange as it may seem I am actually looking forward to bow hunting again this year.
