Gun season opens this weekend in Oklahoma so hopefully I can give this thread a bump before long.

I got this big guy on November 14th around 3:45. He is missing a point on his left G2 and his left G3 is broke off too. I would have love to seen him with his rack in tact! I'm still waiting to hear back from the taxidermist about his score; does anybody have a ballpark guess?

Well the deer gods shined on me again today! This nice 5x4 came down the ridge chasing does at 430 pm this afternoon and wouldn't stop. After many zig zags, ups and downs, and close calls he came back into view. When big rascal finally did stop.....as many of you deer hunters can attest to his stopping point was in a area where his vitals were covered by trees. I knew this deer was not going to stick around long so I took the only shot I had......The neck. The 300 WSM bullet was dead on at 65 yards and he dropped in his tracks. The exit hole in the cape might be a obstacle for the taxidermist, but better safe than sorry!

That's one of the best deer I've ever seen...Congratulations, man!

My buddy got this 10 point this past Saturday here in southeast Virginia on a man drive with buckshot.

Update: I got a call from the taxidermist today and he scored him around 137 inches and probably would have been close to 150 if the 2 points hadn't been broken off. This is my first deer and I am very happy!
