your rifle of choice for deer? if legal obviously

I'm very boring, my favorite deer caliber so far is the .270 Win. shooting 130 grain bullets. I've killed a few deer and the moose in my picture with a H/R SS 30-30 shooting 170 grain bullets. This year I used the 308 norma mag and .338 Win mag on a couple deer, but the power obviously wasn't needed on deer sized game.

In the eastern woods, brush can be thick, shots can be 10 yds up to 100 yds. I like the remy model 7 in 7-08. Its light to pack, short to move with in thick cover, has plenty of power for range. Put the bullet in the right spot and almost any will do the job.

Back west in Colorado where I grew up, I liked to use my TCR-83 in .243. Scoped with a Leupold Var. X-II 2-7, 100 grain bullets. When I lived in Alaska I came to be dependent on my Browning A-bolt in 7 mag for caribou (deer related). But now I live back east in Virginia and have come to depend on a CVA Accura .50 cal muzzleloader with open sights as the shots on my small property are less than 30 yards.
