When I last spoke to the hunters, and I told them they can trail on my land. They said they would call first. I told them not to bother. What if I'm not around? I don't want them to have to wait. I rather they enter and finish their business. I figure it's better for the deer this way.

I'm considering that camera idea just so I can monitor things.

To the others that don't think I'm for real, that's ok. Everyone is entitled to react in anyway they wish. There have been enough people on this site who have educated me very comprehensively in order to lead me to an informed decision that is right for me. That's why I came here. Sites likes this can serve a great purpose.

The last hunter I talked with on the phone to get his opinion told me you guys have been feeding me good info and has agreed with everything I have learned here. The only discrepancy is that he said shooting in front of me with a target isn't the same as shooting a live animal. There are more variables with a live animal. That's why after my conversation with him I reconciled this situation that I would close our land to hunting.

No disrespect by my coming here. Sorry if I've cluttered your site with my "problem". Thanks to those who have helped me.

Hopefully, like most women, you'll change your mind about letting someone hunt there...eventually...someone you trust and want to be gracious to. If not I think you are making the right decision about letting the guys on to trail an animal if needed.

Good luck to you

ps.
Ya know vegetarians in general, just aren't as smart as us omnivores...some of us.....LOL

Wow, what a thread with all sorts of input. I guess we are all excited to talk to someone that opposes (sort of) but with an open mind. Good luck with your adventures.

A couple comments... yeah not experienced hunters in the deputies with the bucks statement.

Also post your property and who cares about making anyone mad. Covers your liability, and legal elements. You don't need to tell anyone how many or who or whatever hunts it. Just it is posted and you can't hunt. Anyone want to put bets that if the deputies get to hunt the section of the property beside this one that they won't hunt on this one?

Here is the difference between experienced bow hunters and gun hunting. Bow hunting is up close and personal. difficult but not with practice to make the same humane shot. gun hunting gives hunters false security. That means "OH BUCK" bam..... The buck was running, the buck was 300 yards, the buck was in brush. it is in the hunter not the weapon of choice.

good luck and thanks for allowing "us" to talk to you about our oppinions.

Been on here a long time. One of the reasons is, I'm an observer of people, I just enjoy it. For some reason and I can't explain it, the colorful ones always come to this section of huntingnet.

Can't put my finger on it but I've read post written like this before. Everyone communicates the same no matter what name they use. Mine is done deliberately so that it's a signature know only to me. Need that on the net.

You joined the forum 2 days ago.

"Blazing Star" that's interesting.

"What are your thoughts and comments please?" You asked.

First time anyones asked? What state did you say this was in? Might be some important hunting regulations you should be aware off. If these guys asking are breaking some right off the get go can you trust them?

Ya know with all the info your getting your could write some articles on gaining permission to hunt land or something.

That's true, but at least you can determine if they have some shooting skills. If they can't hit straight when shooting at a target (ie. the best of circumstances) you can assume they won't be any better with an animal.
