I'm not looken for $50 attractant's something within the $30 range. Me my uncle and my dad were going to firework's on sunday and in the middle of town saw two good 8 point's and a forked horn so I all of a sudden am pumped to see some more buck's LOL

Your best bet this time of the year will probably be the field edges. Right now bucks are very patterned with their eating habits, often feeding in the same field every night. I would look for some trails that are being used on a field edge and place a camera there. Best of luck.

Corn, put 100 pounds or so in an area in the edge of the woods in an area that you have a clear camera shot. Make sure there are no limbs or bushes that would catch a picture when the wind blows. Leave it out for at least 3 weeks before you re-enter the area. I usually carry another 50 pounds and another chip and do a quick change out. An established mineral lick with trace mineral salt and Di-Cal is also good in the summer months, but it takes longer for the deer to start using it a lot.

In our area we are having a small time of drought, some creeks, ponds and other water holes are going dry or geting low. If you have a water source nearby the open fields were they have been spoted you may get some good pics at the water source. And as has been said good ole corn is cheap and the Deer love it, I have never put it out and not have them find it and consume every bit of it.

Don't rely on attractants, most people use camers to find out where the deer are. So, put your camera on trails leading to and near food sources, to show you what there is there. Do some glassng of feeding ares from roads if you can, then get out of the vehicle and into the woods and look for deer trails, old scrapes and old rub lines.

You'll probabbly have to move your camers once mid October rolls around, because they will be feeeding in different areas after that.

God Bless,

T.R.
