I hate to say this too. Rocky's quality isnt want it use to be. I grew up near Nelsonville, Ohio and was happy to have Rocky there, but now Rocky is just turning into a mid-lower grade product. IMO.

I will be interested to see what people prefer on the shoe boots.

I think for the money Military poly pros, military fleeces, and Military ninja suits are the best. PERIOD. I get them free too!

UA products are very nice, but I just can't spend the cash on them when I get that stuff for free or next to nothing. It will be interesting to hear how you like them.

You could always just buy a white painters coverall and where it over your normal hunting gear. Layer up underneath and you'll be fine. For my base layers I either wear a microfleece or a polyester dependent on the temperature. it doesnt have to be underarmour, Redhead makes some good base layers.

For boots, get a good pair of Irish Setters or Danners. Stay away from Rocky. I'd stick with minimum 1000gr. And a really good pair of socks.

Other keys to staying warm - Dont get dressed to early. That means get dressed fully only when you arrive at your stand. If you sweat ont he way in, you'll be cold in no time.

being from Canada, i ahve some experience with cold

Those army issue Mickey mouse boots are great. Check out the poly proplene thermals they have, alot better the UA.

Default You know you are getting old

When the old, still wearable, blaze orange parka you bought years ago, cost less than the new fangled underwear that modern hunters are wearing today.

But then what do I know. My memories are so old, I remember wearing hunting clothes, not now marketed, and dragging out a deer, in snow, with the temps below zero degrees.
