I saw a guy in a blazer hit a doe yesterday. I stopped to make sure he was alright, he was shaken up but fine. The cop gave him the tag to keep it.

Doe was clipped by a van and she busted her back end. I pulled over to help and saw her bedded in the ditch. Just then a sherrif pulls up and needs to put her down. Pulls out an AR-15 and I asked what he is shooting for bullets.. Full Metal Jacket. I pleaded with him to let me pull out my bow with a nice sharp broadhead and stick her for a quick humane death.... NOPE, he needed to unleash the lead. After a horrific 10 shots to the lungs that did nothing more then drill tiny holes in her, she expired. I figured it took 15-20 min for her to die. It was truely the saddest road kill I have ever seen!
