Well it's official............ I'm out. The other guys get to hunt no matter what. I'm not gonna wind up arguing who shot this deer or that deer and all the other headaches. I give up.

Have you shown your appreciation in the past for this priveledge? A bottle of wine or his favorite drink, a home made cake, or offering to help him with chores goes a long way toward cementing a relationship and increases the odds of exclusivity. I have permission to hunt a 4400 acre property with other people but each year I show my appreciation with a gift and some wine or beer that the ranger likes.

Oh yea. I have always done that. Turns out this is the new boyfriend and a friend of the 20 year old daughter. Now you see where I am not gonna win. I have other places to go. This was always just my favorite.

Well if it's just a new boyfriend, don't give up on it just yet. As soon as that relationship is over, you know he and his buddy are done hunting there.

Just make a few trips a year there to keep your hat in the ring.

Any way you could talk to these guys and work something out? Maybe find out when they'll be hunting and just avoid it on that day.

Good Luck

dont know how much land it is but move off that field if they are hunting it a lot, just remember they are probably enjoying hunting too. something i learned hunting public land they hunt their way i hunt mine.

even though i dont like see people stalking deer walking all around by me , guess they are hunting the way they like.
