While sitting for long cold hours in my tree stand I enjoy seeing birds and squirrels and such that happen by. One day I thought I should put up a bird feeder with a good supply of sunflower seeds in it to attract birds to feed near my stand. I wondered if seeing and hearing the birds around may relax the deer and make them at ease. But then I wondered if they would come around looking to get seeds that had fallen on the ground. " Baiting" deer is not allowed in Alberta. Well I have not put a bird feeder out.

Yes sir.... That was probubly the best one yet. Used tampons[X(]
The bird feeder idea sounds like a good one, little obb but I thing I would have some good results, maybe it' s a loop hole in the system. It' s a (bird) feeder with bird seed.

I used vanilla exract. I have been told that it attracts deer. Don' t know why because nothing in the woods where I hunt smells like it. Has not worked so far.

Well ya know I can think of 4 givens in life, DEATH , TAXES , DIAPERS AND TAMPONS, so I gotta buy stock in all 4 and promote the use of tampons in hunting to help to boost the sales.

Actually ,
tampons make great scent wicks , and they fit into the neck of most scent bottles . Some of the newer ones even have a gel core which will disperse the scent over a longer period . No pun intended , ladies .

Hey LAbushman ,
vanilla smells kinda like acorns , that' s why it sometimes attracts deer . Oldtimers swear by it , but I haven' t had much luck using it . [X(]
