Going Deer Hunting With Health Problems Question.

You can hunt later in the morining, several times i have waited and went in around 8 or 9 am. Hunt evenings food sources are great that time of year. If you live in a state that allows shooting deer over corn set up a feed and hunt over it. Back in 2004 i had a heat attack 1st of november i, hunted mid day or evenings that year and still scored on 2 does and a okay buck.

"I know to be successful in deer hunting, you have to get up early and get in the woods well before daylight."
I've been beat to death over that inaccuracy. For decades; even this year.
Every time I went hunting early, the non-hunter in the family would remind me of the time I had to wait for her shift to end, and got a deer well towards noon, that morning. (1970's)
Now rehabing, the walker and photographer is coming back from walks near the woods, and showing me all the deer pictures.
She took some, near 11:30 in the hot morning, going up a trail.
When I finish my rehab, I'll be glad for any hunting, any time, in daylight hours.

to me its just like fishing,i'm going early ,real early. i like to be on stand 30-45min before daylight. let thing settle down before shooting light.
i don't understand why you can hunt in the middle of the day and not early morning,go to bed earlier and get up early, give yourself plenty of time to get moving. then sleep during the day. you really need to pattern your deer movement at different times of day, then figure out when you need to be in the stand.

I would need to here more on why you can't go first light but, from what you say alot of deer are still moving even during archery season after first light due to hunters moving.if you are archery hunting hunt hard during the seeking of the rut and you will see bucks moving looking for doe's.a lot of deer are shot during gun season when hunters come out of the woods to eat something for lunch and come back in.I would suggest use the later time going into the woods to your advantage and bring a nap sack or something and stay in the woods at the time when other hunters are moving deer.

Any time you can get into the woods to hunt is a good time. I've been deer hunting for over 30 years and I've killed deer all hours of the day. Mid morning and mid to late evening comes to mind as my most productive hours of the day.
