Have times when things just don' t come together.
Might be weather, might be my attitude on the day, might be a gear failure.
I' ve heard plenty of hunters say that sucess comes by believing you will suceed. Have to say I agree.
Also have plenty of hunts where I choose not to shoot the animal, for one reason or another.
Other times the quarry is the phantom, and he outsmarts me. I' m glad about that, or it would be just too easy.
It' s not often that a days hunting is a disappointment.

Don' t feel bad , I only got one shot at a buck last year , and missed ! [:@] I made the rookie mistake of not checking my gear , and ended up shaving some hair off of his shoulder ! [X(] The only other deer I saw were does , and got snagged by the same mistake !

I have let tags go unfilled because I didn' t get the buck that I wanted and in some cases it was due to bad luck.I could however have filled my tags on any day of the season if I wanted to settle for a smaller deer.

I had one of those years only saw one shooter buck made a good shot right at dark he stumbled down to creek bottom below me so I decided to go get him in the morning big mistake didn' t know someone on the club next to had put a stand right on our line. Went back the next morning all I found were four wheeler tracks
