RE: Boycott Wisconsin
Does this look like I' m scared about a little bait ban? And let me remind you, I never said anything about boycotting the DNR or even being upset about the ban on baiting. What I did say was that big deer CAN be taken with the use of bait.
without bait ![]() without bait ![]() as far as shooting a buck that' s in a class with the Jordan buck....good luck doing that anywhere. You infer that you can' t kill a buck like that over bait... and I beg to differ. If there is a buck like that in your area....you will have as good of chance over bait as anywhere else. |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
Geeeezzzz, alot of emotions on this topic..as usual. The freaks that put piles of corn out and show their kids this is how to hunt, really send out a bad message. Prett sad. I am not going to get on a public forum though and say that it should be banned and that it' s unethical etc., etc....One buddy of mine did take a 165" buck " near" a coffee can or two of corn strewn around an area once, but it' s usually not used by us.
BTW, I' m glad the ban is in place....but people need to chill out a little and not pit hunter against hunter. The anti' s have a blast reading this kind of crap!!!!! |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
James......those are some dandy bucks. I used to hunt around Iron River up to the Cornicopia area on the shores of the big Lake. I now have land a " little" south and east of there and love the big country!

RE: Boycott Wisconsin
It' s a great area up here W&M. I hunt anywhere from up by the Lake shore, to Oulu, to Brule to Lake Nebagamon. I' m all over the place 365 days a year.

RE: Boycott Wisconsin
I am back. Been offline for a week. Surprised to see this topic going and with different members.
quote: I don' t have many mule deer or elk where I hunt so I' m not too worried about seeing such sights. Bull says: So proove us wrong then! I laughed at that exchange of words. Nub and Bull I back you both. James V you are to proud of your upbringing or else you wouldn' t say you had taken them with bait. Have the not so bright people forgot how disease is spread? A friend of mine fed deer with gravity feeders. You could see where the deer pressed there nose up against the plastic container. Even if the bait is on the ground, where the tongue of the animal touches moisture can still linger and if it is misty or rainy the moisture ensures the life of the virus to continue. I feed deer out of season from Jan 1 to the middle of March. To those who feed or bait don' t you notice the increased deer feces around the food? About the Jordon Buck. Taken along the St Croix river area that borders MN. When it was shot didn' t it go to the MN side and then back to WI when they trailed it? If so this isn' t a heavily farmed area, so no more arguing about what you do or do not know. OV you are from the south ? |

I speak the truth.

RE: Boycott Wisconsin
