RE: Boycott Wisconsin
Proud to be a Minnesotan after reading these posts.
I hope to God we never legalize baiting in Minnesota. |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
As for lazy- That whole ethics issue is truely the disease of our herritage and I would never want any hunter associated with me that feels that way Todd' s wife, Trista, 30, said she is a beginning bow hunter not yet confident enough to hunt without using bait. " How do you get new people when you make it so hard for them?" she said. To me all the I, I, I, I, I' s you posted mean nothing IF you ruin the experience for the new hunter! Way to go! I hope to heck that kind of attitude isn' t the future of our sport. Good grief, that' s just sad! |

RE: Boycott Wisconsin
Exactly the mentality I was warned about.
So how about you that slam out of state hunters? How about you that refuse to go west due to cost? How about you that registered your guns and went to Canada? How about you that refused to boycott Ontario in early spring bear ban? Sounds to me like you all have your selected boycotts as long as it does not effect you personally. I could never call myself a sportman if it meant being included with the likes here. Talk about ownership. What is QDM other than ownership of a public herd. Ownership? Keep the out of staters out, hmm sounds like resident ownership only. I am full of self. Self confidence that I know I am right. From time to time you guys should try to deprogram and really look around. Socialism is dead. The boycott continues.-TM |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
As for Minnesota- With the Governor you just had? When he stated shooting bear over bait was terrorism or something like that I can see where you think from.
I suppose you ' re against hunting bear with bait. If not why do you oppose deer? And I see hound use could be a reality in your state. How do you do? I' m sure your against that. If so why because it interferes with bear baiters. Then outlaw deer drives because it interferes with bait sitters or now we are called food plot sitters same thing different food. By the way I have bear hunted Minnesota and the amounts and types of bait used are something to dicuss. If disease isn' t spread by all the rotted crap laying in the woods well I guess it never will eh?-TM |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
When my name appears in the article above, this thread can become about me. Your name is the only one here I see in it. This thread is about you, not me. I don' t want to talk about Canada or the west coast, I want to talk about your boycotting of Wisconsin. If you want discuss whats going on around the world, start a new thread. I' m sure someone will chime in.
I asked for your stand. And explainations why. Your pro bait. You want people to stop buying lisences. You want them to not allow hunting. Stop buying property in WI. Stop reporting game violations. |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
I do hope people realize that TB was found in bear in Michigan when they banned bait for deer.
The feds currently have a amendment to vote on to ban bait on federal lands for bear hunting. Why the support and fight to stop the ban on baiting for bear on federal lands if bear can get the same TB the anti deer baiting crowd claims baiting spreads. Oh maybe bear are not as important. I think its beacause the bear hunters relize and see the writting on the wall having been attacked before. We hunters have allways been slow to react. Just a note the WI bear hunters Assoc. was going to speak against the ban on bait for deer and were asked by WI deer hunters to stay out of the issue. They went along with it making themselves seperate and requested exclusion from the ban when all baiting was at first slated for the ban. Ask Rick Possig/president WBHA. I am a member of WBHA and questioned their choice. He said he knew the decision would bite him in the ass as the ban on federal lands came out. So here we are quite the double standard to say the least.-TM |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
Nub,
I just thought of something. Without fail, I always hear ethical and responsible sportsmen wishing that certain types would go find another hobby. I feel it safe to say that anyone who would publically call for people to support poaching should probably go buy a Nintendo instead of a hunting lisence. As a fisherman and hunter, I' m tired of being lumped in with these slobs. Maybe, just maybe, if everyone with his individual' s mindset would stop hunting & fishing, we' d all be better off for it. For that reason, I say " Kudos" to you, Mr. Mascaretti! Getting out of the woods will probably be your best contribution to it yet! |
RE: Boycott Wisconsin
I answered the question.
It is not sound management and another form of hunting lost. The permanant package includes invasive issues such as increased authority of a dept. that never was meabt to have the strength it has. Eminent domain is used too freely for my comfort in the proposal. CWD is not spread by the use of bait and is contained. As for outside issues they pertain to this post as example of the do nothing complaciant attitude out there. we don' t agree at least we have opened lines of comunication-TOD |
