    My last buck was in 2003, and since then I have been holding out for another buck. Well this year I broke the dry spell and took a doe. Last night my wife cooked upa back strap (loin)andit was great. I had forgotten just how good they are. If you want to introduce someone to venison, give them a piece of back strap.

    cooked some last week. salt, pepper, and olive oil. they were the most tender straps i've ever eaten...yum.

    Call me crazy, but I make jerky out of back straps. I also hit them with salt and pepper then grill them medium rare.
