Are your straps padded? If not, you need to get padded straps. Or if the ones you have are padded....open them up and put more padding in. My stand weighs like 27lbs and I can carry it a long way comfortably with padded straps.

6PT...go to the hardware store and get a length of 2 inch foam pipe insulation. Slip it over the straps and tape it at the top and bottom...Cost ya $2 or so...

Yep, that' s what I' d do ! Or the more expensive approach would be to pickup some padded straps from a place like Gander Mountain.

I was in the same boat you we' re in. I went to Bass Pro and picked up a set of padded straps for $10-15 and what a difference!
Check online to see if they sell ' em.

I have a Tree Lounge and it hurts my shoulders when I carry it I got a large belt that I run thru the bottom of the frame and buckle it around my waist to relieve some of the pressure on my shoulders and also have padded straps helps alot

I had the same problem with my climber.I did what JJ said and also went to Wally' s and bought some camo duct tape.I also rigged up a breast strap to keep the straps up on my shoulder. It sure does make it a whole lot more comfortable lugging the thing around.Ron
