if so what are your thoughts? i just bought one and have only shot it 6 times. I'm headed out west mule deer hunting wiht it and was going to take the 165 grain triple shocks. i didn't think the recoil was bad at all

i don't have the 300, but i did buy one in 30.06. shot a doe with it in september and knocked her butt over tea kettle. i think you will love that gun. good luck.
