You're right, thisthread is getting to be a bit of nonsense. The .270 is a near perfect fit for whitetail deer, and I don't even use one. Howthe .270 could underperform the .243 isa bit puzzling. Every one of thesepoor instances involving the .270 was more than likely a result of bad shot placement, bad scope alignment, or badammunition selection (though highly doubtful on any deer in this country)....period.
