Block all of his shooting lanes on your side and leave a note telling him that you'll call the authorities if you catch him shooting across the line. Azzholes like that deserve no courtesy.

Just to clarify my position.
My land, my livestock, my crops, my equipment, my taxes, my mortgage. So, if I catch anyone hunting on my land without my permission, I will have them arrested.
What he does on his25 acre corneris of nointerest to me at all. As far as I am concerned, he can kill 100 deer a week on his place. Just don't come over on tomy 165without permission. Four generations of family have livedhere, and I don't look kindly at anyone who tries to make himself to home without an invitation.
All I have to say.
Thank you all

The stand you are whining about is on HIS property. Seems likeyou have amajor preoccupationwith what he does on his 25 acre cornerdespite your protest to the contrary. All the blaring music, moth balls, land mines, etc. that folks are talking about you putting on the property line would not only mess things up for him but also screw things up on thatentire section ofyour larger piece of property as well. Think it through.....

Lanse
Please re-read my last post.
I feel that I clearly stated that I have no intention of pulling any of the tricks that have been suggested. I am not going to do anything at all until I have positive proof that a trespasser has entered upon my property. Then, as I said, I will let the responding Deputy handle the situation. As for my whining, I'm noooooootttt whiiiiiiinnnning. I'm just plain angry.

That may be his intentions as well. So the stand is close to your line and is pointed in your direction, some folks put the stand on the other side of the tree for cover. Maybe during a certain wind that stand is perfect for his woods. You assume to much.

You have no proof of any trespass and assume the worst.

All I know is your side of the story and thats not enough. Talk to him next time you see him, of course unless everytime you seeall you do is accuse him of wrong doing, then why would he wanttalk to you.

I had a similar situation with a neighbor. What I did was make a few really creepy blair witch voodoo-doll-like stick figures and decorated his stand with them.

That was the end of that.

There is a really good way to keep people from stealing your trail cameras.

Put a sticker on them that says:

"Congratulations. You found this trail camera. Now try and find the other trail camera. The one that caught you stealing the first one. Expect to be contacted by the sherriff's department within 48 hours."

Even if there isn't another camera, they will leave your stuff alone 99% of the time.

Oh, and I also like the idea of putting the snow fencing up on your property line. Just make sure it is high enough to block off any potential shooting angles onto your property out to 50 yards.

If he crosses into your property to retrieve a deer he has taken, he can be arrested. If you have proof of him shooting and tracking a deer into your property, the police can arrest him for trespassing. I would put a trail cam hidden in front of his stand, and watch what he does.
