There is a really good way to keep people from stealing your trail cameras.

Put a sticker on them that says:

"Congratulations. You found this trail camera. Now try and find the other trail camera. The one that caught you stealing the first one. Expect to be contacted by the sherriff's department within 48 hours."

Even if there isn't another camera, they will leave your stuff alone 99% of the time.
