Default Musty Smelling Blind Alert Deer?

I just pulled my blind out of my crawl space and it definitely has a light, musty smell. Has anyone had any experience in a mildew, musty smell alerting deer or since it's a natural smell, could it possibly act as a cover scent?

i purchased my blind from a guy i work with and it has a mildew smell to it also... i have had deer come with in 15yds from me and not spook. i spray the blind and myself with baking soda before each hunt so that might have something to do with it.

Same as 'lucky' on the cleaning. A good light breeze and sunny day with baking soda solution.

Set it up in the back yard for a few days to air out. Then when you put it in the bag to head out dust it with baking soda.

Thanks for the reply guys. I noticed the smell as I was setting it up in the woods yesterday. I had several does within 60yds down wind and they had no clue I was there. Guess it's not that big of a deal, but it also wasn't nearly as noticeable just leaving it out over night.
