Lets change the subject to------> Whats a good low light scope ?
Say around $ 150.00 to $200.00
Closer to $125.00 or so.

If there is one if not its saving time

Or a someday scope.

Or a Christmas pressent from some one. Most likely to happen. I could hope for.

Any one have a good used 3x9x40 Leupold they want to part with ?
Thank You

Jrbsr, some of the guys say Simmons is a piece of crap. That is not so, at least not the Aetec. I have a 3.8-12x44 Aetec I'm willing to part with if you are interested, at no cost. There is nothing wrong with it other than a slight dent in the AO, which didn't affect it whatsoever. I've killed many deer with this scope on my gun and never had a problem with it. It's really not a bad scope at all. A new one would cost you over $200 plus tax. This one is not the new master series. If you are interested, let me know.

Hey Superstrutter,

The old Simmons were great scopes for the $$$ . I own 2 of them ( Aetecs ) it's the newer Masters Series , put out by Meade that are not very good. BUT I made a couple of calls today and was told that Bushnell bought the Simmons line from Meade Recently, and they are now maunfacturing the Simmons Scope line......... Just a bit of info I thought you might like to know....

And it's real nice of you to offer that scope....

God Bless

MET

On a side note an Aetec of that magnification is not going to be a great low light performer unless you keep the power all the way down.

If you don't get this guys scope, which is a pretty good deal considering it is free and the older Aetecs were pretty nice actually I would go with a lower power scope within that price range. Maybe a 2-7X32 or 40. Dusk to Dawns are decent low light performers for the money.

I have owned - Nikons - Leupolds- Burrises- Simmons- Bushnells- and so on But Two of the best scopes I have ever owned is the Bushnell Banner Dusk&dawn and a BSA Catseye , super in low light , very clear scopes and no fogging up. Any more I just Refuse to pay the high dollors for a scope , and will not spend more on a scope than I have in my gun. But that is just me.
