Im not really sure but I assume till the velvet starts coming off. Which could be differant for certain bucks.

im sure area as well as genetics dictate the length of time for antler growth!

It is a fact in New York deer start to loose velvet in sept.

Antlers typically are done growing about the first of August. It takes about a month for the antler to harden before the velvet can be shed.
