Took mine in 1983, but it has changed alot. The new California test has safety, ecology, environment, etc. When I took it, it was safety-safety-safety!

Indiana doesn't require it for hunters born before 1986, and because of it's impact on youth recruitment they're seriously beginning to reconsider keeping it mandatory.

I took mine when I was really young. Im only 22 now but I had to take it here in Illinois to get my green card and that was the only way I could recieve a hunting license.

Took mine when I was 12, my son turned 12 in March and took his test in April. So he is good to go too.
