This ruling sets a legal precedent by which all other gun bans can be challenged and beaten, potentially even the AWB reauthorization bill that's passing through Congress right now, this is a happy day for gun owners.

I't's a day to celebrate! Hopefully this opens a door for us in Chicago and the state of Illinois! Mayor Daley wants guns to be extinct in Chicago. Hopefully this ruling is worrying him! Man, I'm thankful our founding fathers put the 2nd ammendment in back when they established this country! I'd like to Doc Brown's Time Machine and go back and shake there hands! (Yes, I just used a "Back to the Future" reference, top 5 greatest movies!)

This is great for the law abiding people of DC and other crime riden cities, maybe they can start to take their cities back from the criminals who have been largely able to commit violent crimes without fear of armed victims. It has been proven in almost every case when countries and cities ban guns for law abiding citizens violent crimes increase.

It is good news, but how will it take until we see the effects of the decision? Here in MA gun permits are issued by the Police chief of the town where you live. Basicaly the Chief or the State can do whatever they want. Sure we can sue them and win but that takes time and money. Anyway it is a step in the right direction.

This and for many related reasons it's exactly why it's so important for all who value all Americans' liberties to financially support as you're able such organizations, such as, the NRA, Gun Owners of America and others that can a do take on these people and institutions who've gotten away with infringing on our rights to own and use firearms for too long.

In this case, the majority of members of the Supreme Court actually followed what the Bill of Rights, the Constitution and history has shown our founding fathers of this nation intended. They are to be congratulated for that.
