Kentucky resident prices

Hunting- 20$
Fishing- 20$
Combo hunting/fishing- 30$ <<< what i buy

Deer permit (1buck, 1doe)- 30$
Turkey permit fall - 30$(4 turkeys only 2 can have beards 8 inches or longer, and only 2 can be taken with shotgun)
Turkey Permit spring (2 turkeys)- 30$

You can also buy the sportsmens combo with all the licenses and permits for 95$

Its pretty pricey I think......

I know out west alot of times the difference between res and non res is 10x, I think all states should adopt this as a max differential.

All I've been hearing about are the non res IL tags...I don't even know what I pay in state....I mostly just get the archery tag I think its around $36.

at 10x that would be $360 if my numbers are even close.....personally if the money went to the DNR for their discretion I would have no problem paying even more, comparing states I think does little good.

MT has the greatest bighorn in the US and its the cheapest bighorn tag you can get......$750, New Mexico meanwhile is over $3,000. I'd be happy with either tag.

Also IL really only has 1 trophy big game animal......whitetail deer, other states un non-res have to fork out....up to 10x the the res cost for elk, deer, antelope, moose, sheep, etc..etc....

Personally I'd like to see the gaps narrowing though, from 10x down to 8x.....

I have a lifetime hunt-fishlicense. It cost $500.00, which was well worth it.I'm covered for everything in my lifetime with the exception of a federal duck stamp. In Louisiana, the hunting fees are as follows

Resident- basic hunting $15.00
big game $15.00
bow $10.50
muzzleloader $10.50
LA's sportsman paradise ( covers everything except fed. duck stamp) $100.00
Also covers fresh and salt water fishing
turkey and state duck stamp $5.00 each
waterfowl license $5.50 ( this is new and stupid IMO, but is covered on lifetime license)

Non-Resident- basic season $150.00
5 day trip excluding big game $100.00
big game season $150.00 ( basic license is also required to hunt big game)
You'll have to pay $300.00 to hunt big game all year
big game 5 day trip $75 plus 5 day basic which equals $175.00
bow $26.00 (Add big game and basic)
muzzleloader $26.00 (add big game and basic)

If you want to turkey hunt, you'll have to purchase a basic and big game license along with a turkey stamp for $20.50. If you really love to hunt Louisiana, but you don't want to live here, then you can purchase yourself a non-resident lifetime license for the bagain price of $3,000.00. That includes fishing, but does not include the federal duck stamp.

NE has a lottery drawing for Bighorn. Its a $25 non refundable chance. And I believe there is only 1 permit to give away. So at that price, depending on applicants that could be 1 expensive tag. But whoever wins it gets an all expense paid hunt. That would be awesome.

I can't speak for anyone else from GA, but I go to IL for a deer hunting vacation!

I suspect most enjoy the relatively unpressured deer that they get to bowhunt in IL. I know many guys I hunt with in IL are pretty much fed up with a 3 month rifle season and a 12 deer limit in GA.

Formula,

Where do you hunt in Illinois? There is a guy who has a camp and two hundred acres across the road from my land. Further South there are a couple other Georgia boys that have 40 acres and a camp.
