I know out west alot of times the difference between res and non res is 10x, I think all states should adopt this as a max differential.

All I've been hearing about are the non res IL tags...I don't even know what I pay in state....I mostly just get the archery tag I think its around $36.

at 10x that would be $360 if my numbers are even close.....personally if the money went to the DNR for their discretion I would have no problem paying even more, comparing states I think does little good.

MT has the greatest bighorn in the US and its the cheapest bighorn tag you can get......$750, New Mexico meanwhile is over $3,000. I'd be happy with either tag.

Also IL really only has 1 trophy big game animal......whitetail deer, other states un non-res have to fork out....up to 10x the the res cost for elk, deer, antelope, moose, sheep, etc..etc....

Personally I'd like to see the gaps narrowing though, from 10x down to 8x.....
