I can only speak from my own experiences, I have filmed, and harvested some pretty good size bucks from tree stands that I have urinated from. I filmed two bucks this year, that were on the 130-135" range, both were filmed in a scrape, 10 yds. from my treestand. The first buck came in within 1 minute of me urinating from the stand. He even walked through the spot that I dampened as he was leaving. Yes, he stopped and smelled around for about 30 seconds, but never seemed alarmed. Now, if I was eating some real exotic food, I might reconsider my practices, but it has not cost me yet!

I was taught,as a yungster, that urinating would drive away any deer,so i avoided doing it in any area that i expected to see a deer.
Now,I am taking daily diuretic pills(waterPills)and have no choice, but to unzip when I have to,wherever that my be.
Lo,and behold;The deer don't care one bit.

several years ago i was leaving my stand to hunt a field just before dark. i didnt see any deer before i got down. i started to walk out and had to do my business. i made my scrape and walked approx. 20 yards ,i heard a noise behind me and turned around . i saw a 16" 8 pt with his nose in my urine and raise up and smell his upper lip. needless to say i put one through his pump house and now his trophy is hanging in my reloading room. from that time on i have never given any thought to where i urinate.

If it's good enough for Ted Nugent, it's good enough for me. He makes it a point to pee where he hunts. He pees in scrapes whenever he sees them. I have always gone in the woods. They don't associate the smell of pee to humans, just another animal. Anyway, ya'll do what ya want but I can hold still longer and concentrate on hunting when I'm not worrying about my bladder. I see lot's of deer after I go in the woods.

In my own experieces, human urine works like a deer repellent around here. Might be different in different areas, but is a no-no in Kansas.

Well this is a good subject.I used to urine where ever then i got this idea about a gatorade bottle.unfortunateley ive been seeing less deer.i'm starting to think its because of all the movement of dealing with the bottle. i,m going back to let it hang then sit still.(little movement as possible. Deer might not care about urine but, it's a fact that they care about that person they see fumbling too fill a bottle)
