RE: Urinating in and around Hunting areas!!!
I relieved myself in a scrape by my stand once and left it over night. The next day, the buck had torn the crap out of it, and even broken some twigs right around it!! From now on, I'll be peeing where ever I see a scrape!!!

I dont think it matters, I was 20 feet up in my tree stand and had to pee was not about to climb down so I went not to long after that had a small buck come walking in with his nose to the ground right up to it and it did'nt spook him at all he walked right on past.

RE: Urinating in and around Hunting areas!!!
Until this yr I never even thought about urinating around my hunting woods. However after reading a couple articles with some interesting point of views, I decided I would experiment with uninating in mock scrapes. Ok pay a attention here............I made a mock scrape and put fresh doe urine in it and went less than 20yrds away and made another one, except I urinated in this one. I came back in about 2 days and the scrape that I put doe urine in had not been touched and was covered with leaves. The one that I used my urine in had fresh tracks in it and had been pawed clean.
Next example.........I took my wife hunting and she didn't kill anything. When we started to leave I had to pee so bad I couldn't stand it, I really had to go. I walked over by a sapling and just "let 'er rip"!! I came back over a week later and the exact spot that I had urinated in was scraped out to the size of a wash tub. I urinated in that scrape for 2 more weeks and it was continuously being worked by deer.
All that being said, I have changed my mind after this season. I go to huge lengths to be scent free and it feels really odd when you are urinating around your hunting area but after this yrs success I can't see that it hurts anything.

i take a leak out of my tree stands all the time. i also take a leak in every scape i find. it really pisses the bucks off. i kill as many legal deer as i want each season. i see out of my stands at least 75 to 150 deer per season. now does that sound like you should'nt urinate around your stand.

Oh Everson, don't let your wife hear that. She won't let you in the house with your boots on anymore.
I've been paranoid about peeing where I hunt and this year I started carrying a bottle. Come to think of it, I think it's still in my pack...full.
Yep, I left it in the car with my stuff, and now I am the proud owner of a "pee-slushie".
Just imagine if it had leaked in my car.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear so much evidence in favor of just letting it fly. There's nothing quite like trying to write your name from 20ft up. Is this the part of hunting where watching out for the wind is so important?
Just remember guys, if you want to pee from your treestand, make sure not to pee on any deer.
...and don't fart either. That will drive them away too.
Keep 'em all in the Bull.

Greets,
Well folks, I had always figured it would scare the deer, This thread has given me something to think on, if nothing else. Regardless, I usually hunt in a ground blind, which is usually improvised by sitting in a bush or something. This means I either sit in my urine, or get out of the blind and expose myself... hence waiting till I go back to the truck.
Just my uneducated opinion!
