Default Sheds Question

Got a picture of a deer on my trail camera the other day. First glance it was a doe, but on second look, other than it being a big doe it also looked as if it had already shed its antlers. In my part of Va the bucks usually wont shed for atleast another 3-4 weeks. I was wonderin if the drought could have had some bearing on the bucks dropping their antlers early? i'll post a pic. on here as soon as i can.

Well there are always early ones, and late ones, that's why you just need to keep hiking around lookin for em.

old bucks and bucks that were stressed out in the rut or winter will shed their antlers as early as december, most other bucks will drop all within 2 weeks of each other and still subject to the conditions of weather and how rough the rut was.
