Thought this was an awesome picture. It is a picture of the Worlds Biggest Typical Deer and the Worlds Largest or use to be not sure non-typical deer. I'm proud as an Ohioan that these deer were shot in Ohio. I really think that if the ODNR doesn't screw anything up Ohio can become the best or second best Whitetail states in the U.S but thats JMHO. Enjoy the picture
*Edit* This is the stats on the Typical, its not the Largest ever but largest with a crossbow.
[ul][*]State record typical whitetail for Ohio (201-1/8 any weapon).[*]Highest netting typical whitetail in the country taken during the 2004-2005 season.[*]New World record "perfect" crossbow buck according to Buckmasters Trophy Records (183-7/8 BTR).[*]#4 all-time in the Perfect Category with any weapon in the BTR (183-7/8).[*]The Largest Typical Whitetail ever taken with a crossbow using the "Boone & Crockett" method (201-1/8 net).[*]World Classics' World Record for Men's Typical Crossbow (213-6/8").[*]Boone & Crockett #10 or #11 typical whitetail deer. Accepted @ 201 1/8 net and will be panel reviewed in 2007.[*]2004 Golden Laurel Citation co-winner. Awarded to the most significant entry into the BTR.[*]World Record Crossbow Typical Whitetail by Safari Club International records. [/ul]

I met the guy who killed that big deer with a crossbow while at a Buckmastershow in Greensboro NC ...I had been asked to bring the buck I took in Alberta and he had his monster there ...he and I both lusted after one anothers Buck ...and he seems to be a super nice guy ....I saw the buck up close and the pics do not do that buck justice.

ya forgot the hole in the horn buck, a non-typical found dead in the 50's, #2 B&C non-typical of all time.
Is the non-typ. in the pic the beatty buck? it was the largest scoringwhitetail ever takenby a hunterat one time.

I have to give it to the DNR here in Ohio. They have done everything to ensure we have a healthy heard. They encourage more does to be taken and restrict us to one buck regardless of antler size. More importantly, hunters have stepped up on two fronts...#1. Bucks can grow! #2. Turning in poachers, for a time they were numerous but they have been driven to small numbers.

GO BUCKEYES!
Anyway I love hunting Ohio and I just got land last year... I have already seen some monster bucks! I have 100 Aces in Athens County... Man is it pretty down there!
Here is a pic of my cross-bow buck this year... The deer get to live so long in Athens that they really get a chance to develop some real nice antler characteristics.
