What do you think he scores?
Alright I got this bad boy back in october and he's at the taxidermist and I never had a chance to score him.. What do you think he scores? He's 20'' wide and 23 inches tall.. We did a quick tape job and were able to come up with 157'', but I'm not sure how accurate we were.. could have given him some or taken some away. once he gets back to me I'll for sure throw a tape on him and measure him out correctly.

dI don't know what he scores, but how are you mounting him if you didn't save the cape?

I would guess somewhere around 150" - 155" gross. He has a few shorter tines, but the mass should make up for it.

Actually the 300 did a lot of damage to the neck and I hit about 3.5-4 inches down from the top of the neck.. The picture makes it look like it hit up high. The Core Lockt bullets didn't hold together worth crap and made a big hole and it expanded up so yea.. It was a solid hit on the only **** he was offering. Yea the right side is weak compared to the left thats what kills him the most. The mass is unbelievable, the pictures don't do him justice haha.. I suck at taking pics with animals

The cape actually could have been saved I found out.. My taxidermist could have made it work, but I tossed it anyways. You can buy capes for the deer so thats what I'm doing. We estimated him at abour 4-5 years old..

I was forced to shoot a bull elk in the neck nearer the head and in the center of the neck this year and the impact actually fractured his skull. I grabbed the rack and pulled and could see a line running right between the eyes like I had already made a cut to take the skull cap. One antler was cracked near the base too. The crack ran from the skull cap up about 1/2" into the base. I was using Barnes TSX bullets and would recommend them to anyone in a variety of calibers. I don't think they break up much. Once again you got a real slammer there CP.
