Default My 2007 Buck (Photos)

I killed this buck on November 7th. He was out in the middle of the prairie when I located him. I watched him for a couple of days before I was able to get up on him. I got within about 500 yards of him and saw no way to get any closer (this was about 10:00 in the morning). For whatever reason, he stood up and started walking toward me. I was kneeling down in the open....not a bush in sight to hide behind. I just remained motionless and he kept coming. I ended up killing him at about 200 yards. Go figure... The "Hunting God" was smiling on me I guess. At any rate, he's a double beamed 10X6 non-typical....pretty unique rack.

I am baffled that someone would shoot such a small deer. Personally, I would have had to let him walk away. If you believe that, maybe I have a future in politics.

All joking aside...CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a spectacular specimen of a deer. You will find it hard to top that one, but I will wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for sharing.
