He's a swimmer (w/pics)
These fellas found this button buck swimming a mile and a half from shore. Not sure where this occurred. They turned him loose when they got back to shore..he was soooo tired and was glad to get into their boat and rest! Thanks Dusty for the previous sharing of this info!

I'm sure he would have been fine if left to his own. I have been told that deer were never introduced to nantucket or Marthas vineyard but they are there. There is no doubt that they swam there.
I watched a deer swim across the lake by my house on day. Its only a half mile but he did it in 10 minutes or so. When I first saw his head bobbing in the water I thought it was an otter.
This moose was seen crossing a lake in Connecticut about a mile across. He just swam across and got out the other side like nothing.
