I live in a neighbored out in the country. I would say about 15-20 houses in the culdesac. I own about 3 acres behind me but have a 30 x 30 4 foot high fenced in yard to keep the dogs in. I see deer all the time in and out of the neighborhood. I have been in the woods behind me and found some scrapes so I know there is a buck or two around. Also, a guy I work with in the neighborhood said he has seen some good ones. Well, about 9 tonight while I was gone on an errand my wife said she saw about a 7 point buck with a doe IN THE BACKYARD INSIDE THE FENCE!! Well, my question is...if I was home....take him or not? I would say no....I will be in the woods coming up in the next few days...trying to find him....

You would have to check you local hunting laws to see if it's legal. Here you have to be so many feet from a dwelling, street or building in order to hunt. If your neighbors are closer than that you would be commiting a crime and they could turn you in if they wanted.

ya you might be able to shoot a bow but a rifle...........NO........besides you would be spotlighting which is also illegal and its only a 7 pt. how much mass....not worth being put in jail

In MI you must be 450 ft from any dwelling for any kind of hunting unless you have written permission from owner. I dont think I would shoot from the bathroom window, but a stand just past the back yard is fine. I have 11.5 acres and i've got blind 65 yards from my back deck! As deer adapt to the urban enviroment, the hunter must adapt to the deer.
