Yes, baby and juvenile snakes carry the same amount of venom as an adult but they are more inclined to use it all in one bite unlike the adult rattle who likes to conserve their venom for its prey. They will still bite but give you a "dry bite" (meaning no venom is injected).

Congrats all the way around, but I would have left that rattler alone. You're a brave soul on that one. I respect and appreciate the role that snakes play in nature and I give them a wide berth. Whew, just looking at the photo gives me the willlies.[&:]
