Missouri Opening Weekend...
Omg....the forecast is calling for rain on Sunday-Tuesday! I can't believe this....I was planning on hunting Saturday-Tuesday and now it looks like we'll only be able to hunt 1 day. Why does it rain every season!!! Why can't it rain for just 1 day!
Weather.com has a 30% chance of rain on Sunday and 40% on Monday and Tuesday, for Fulton, MO. Wind is supposed to be around 15mph everyday too. I know 30-40% doesn't sound like a sure thing, but it most likely is.
And it is hard to get my dad to go out hunting if it is raining or windy....He is saying maybe we will just go Saturday and come back Sunday, then go back next weekend....This was supposed to be 4 days of hunting including 1 day of skipping school....now it is looking like just 1 day.
I HATE RAIN!!!!

Dude, chill out a little rain has never hurt anyone. Go buy yourself a set of raingear or a groundblind and wait it out. The deer will still move in the rain which means you need to be out there waiting for them. Besides, with the ground being wet, they will be easier to drag out of the woods.

I have had very successful hunts in the rain. I believe the deer get nervous with all the movement of rain hitting leeves and limbs and have seen them moving through quite often... I wouldnt be too concerned about it.
