I was wonderin how close I can drive my atv to my stand in the woods when I go deer huntin. I figure 100 yards or so but anybody got any stories of tips that can give me a better idea?? Thanks

I belive you should get no closer than 200 yards. Just my opinion. When you enter the woods you leave a (stink) range.
Regarldess of how hard we try , there is a circle of oder that we leave. Deer have got use to this and are not always alarmed .

From what I have read and heard.
When you ride in to your stand, the deer hear you no matter how close or far you are from your stand.
Then they know you are there.

From what I have read and heard.
Have a person ride with you to the stand, then you get off and get in the stand.
The other person rides back to your truck or trailer.
Then the deer hear the ATV leaveing and think you the hunter has left.
So they will think its O.K. now to walk by your stand.
